إنجيل القدّيس لوقا 30-22:13
وكَانَ يَجْتَازُ في المُدُنِ وَالقُرَى، وَهُوَ يُعَلِّم، قَاصِدًا في طَريقِهِ أُورَشَلِيم.
فَقَالَ لَهُ أَحَدُهُم: «يا سَيِّد، أَقَلِيلُونَ هُمُ الَّذينَ يَخْلُصُون؟».
فَقَالَ لَهُم: إِجْتَهِدُوا أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا مِنَ البَابِ الضَّيِّق. أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّ كَثِيرينَ سَيَطْلُبُونَ الدُّخُولَ فَلا يَقْدِرُون.
وَبَعْدَ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَبُّ البَيْتِ قَدْ قَامَ وَأَغْلَقَ البَاب، وَبدَأْتُم تَقِفُونَ خَارِجًا وَتَقْرَعُونَ البَابَ قَائِلين: يَا رَبّ، ٱفتَحْ لَنَا! فَيُجِيبُكُم وَيَقُول: إِنِّي لا أَعْرِفُكُم مِنْ أَيْنَ أَنْتُم!
حِينَئِذٍ تَبْدَأُونَ تَقُولُون: لَقَد أَكَلْنَا أَمَامَكَ وَشَرِبْنا، وَعَلَّمْتَ في سَاحَاتِنا!
فَيَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنِّي لا أَعْرِفُ مِنْ أَيْنَ أَنْتُم! أُبْعُدُوا عَنِّي، يَا جَمِيعَ فَاعِلِي الإِثْم!
هُنَاكَ يَكُونُ البُكاءُ وَصَرِيفُ الأَسْنَان، حِينَ تَرَوْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسحقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَميعَ الأَنْبِياءِ في مَلَكُوتِ الله، وَأَنْتُم مَطْرُوحُونَ خَارِجًا.
وَيَأْتُونَ مِنَ المَشَارِقِ وَالمَغَارِب، وَمِنَ الشَّمَالِ وَالجَنُوب، وَيَتَّكِئُونَ في مَلَكُوتِ الله.
وَهُوَذَا آخِرُونَ يَصِيرُونَ أَوَّلِين، وَأَوَّلُونَ يَصِيرُونَ آخِرِين
English:
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 19:13-15.
Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked them,
but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
After he placed his hands on them, he went away.

Le trajeron entonces a unos niños para que les impusiera las manos y orara sobre ellos. Los discípulos los reprendieron,
pero Jesús les dijo: “Dejen a los niños, y no les impidan que vengan a mí, porque el Reino de los Cielos pertenece a los que son como ellos”.
Y después de haberles impuesto las manos, se fue de allí.
