إنجيل القدّيس لوقا 21-18:13
وَقالَ يَسُوع: مَاذَا يُشْبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ الله؟ وَبِمَاذا أُشَبِّهُهُ؟
إنَّهُ يُشْبِهُ حَبَّةَ خَرْدَلٍ أَخَذَها رَجُلٌ وَأَلْقَاهَا في بُسْتَانِهِ، فَنَمَتْ وَصَارَتْ شَجَرَة، وَعَشَّشَتْ طُيُورُ السَّمَاءِ في أَغْصَانِهَا.
وقَالَ أَيْضًا: بِمَاذَا أُشَبِّهُ مَلَكُوتَ الله؟
إنَّهُ يُشْبِهُ خَمِيرَةً أَخَذَتْهَا ٱمْرَأَةٌ وَخَبَّأَتْهَا في ثَلاثَةِ أَكْيَالٍ مِنَ الدَّقِيقِ حَتَّى ٱخْتَمَرَ كُلُّهُ
English:
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 19:3-12.
Some Pharisees approached him, and tested him, saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?”
He said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’
and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”
They said to him, “Then why did Moses command that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss (her)?”
He said to them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) and marries another commits adultery.”
(His) disciples said to him, “If that is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
He answered, “Not all can accept (this) word, but only those to whom that is granted.
Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever can accept this ought to accept it.”

Evangelio según San Mateo 19,3-12.
Se acercaron a él algunos fariseos y, para ponerlo a prueba, le dijeron: “¿Es lícito al hombre divorciarse de su mujer por cualquier motivo?”.
El respondió: “¿No han leído ustedes que el Creador, desde el principio, los hizo varón y mujer;
y que dijo: Por eso, el hombre dejará a su padre y a su madre para unirse a su mujer, y los dos no serán sino una sola carne?
De manera que ya no son dos, sino una sola carne. Que el hombre no separe lo que Dios ha unido”.
Le replicaron: “Entonces, ¿por qué Moisés prescribió entregar una declaración de divorcio cuando uno se separa?”.
El les dijo: “Moisés les permitió divorciarse de su mujer, debido a la dureza del corazón de ustedes, pero al principio no era así.
Por lo tanto, yo les digo: El que se divorcia de su mujer, a no ser en caso de unión ilegal, y se casa con otra, comete adulterio”.
Los discípulos le dijeron: “Si esta es la situación del hombre con respecto a su mujer, no conviene casarse”.
Y él les respondió: “No todos entienden este lenguaje, sino sólo aquellos a quienes se les ha concedido.
En efecto, algunos no se casan, porque nacieron impotentes del seno de su madre; otros, porque fueron castrados por los hombres; y hay otros que decidieron no casarse a causa del Reino de los Cielos. ¡El que pueda entender, que entienda!”.
