إنجيل القدّيس لوقا 26-20:6
وَرَفَعَ عَيْنَيْه نَحوَ تَلاميذِه وقال: «طوبى لَكُم أَيُّها الفُقَراء، فإِنَّ لَكُم مَلَكوتَ الله.
طوبى لَكُم أَيُّها الجائعونَ الآن فَسَوفَ تُشبَعون. طوبى لَكُم أَيُّها الباكونَ الآن فسَوفَ تَضحَكون.
طوبى لَكمُ إِذا أَبغَضَكُمُ النَّاس ورَذَلوكم وشتَموا اسمَكُم ونَبذوه على أَنَّه عار مِن أَجلِ ابنِ الإِنسان.
اِفرَحوا في ذلك اليَومِ واهتُّزوا طَرَبًا، فها إِنَّ أَجرَكُم في السَّماءِ عظيم، فهكذا فَعَلَ آباؤهُم بِالأَنبِياء.
لكِنِ الوَيلُ لَكُم أَيُّها الأَغنِياء فقَد نِلتُم عَزاءَكُم.
الوَيلُ لَكم أَيُّها الشِّباعُ الآن فسَوفَ تَجوعون. الوَيلُ لَكُم أَيُّها الضَّاحِكونَ الآن فسَوفَ تَحزَنونَ وتَبكون.
الوَيلُ لَكُم إِذا مَدَحَكم جَميعُ النَّاس فَهكذا فَعَلَ آباؤُهم بِالأَنبِياءِ الكَذَّابين
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 10:38-42.
As they continued their journey he entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him.
She had a sister named Mary (who) sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak.
Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.”
The Lord said to her in reply, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things.
There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.”
