إنجيل القدّيس لوقا 24-21:10
(بعد عودة الاثنين و السبعين تلميذا بفرح) ٱبْتَهَجَ يَسُوعُ بِالرُّوحِ القُدُس، فَقَال: «أَعْتَرِفُ لَكَ، يَا أَبَتِ، رَبَّ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْض، لأَنَّكَ أَخْفَيْتَ هذِهِ الأُمُورَ عَنِ الحُكَمَاءِ وَالفُهَمَاء، وَأَظْهَرْتَها لِلأَطْفَال. نَعَم، أَيُّهَا الآب، لأَنَّكَ هكذَا ٱرْتَضَيْت. لَقَدْ سَلَّمَنِي أَبي كُلَّ شَيء، فَمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَعْرِفُ مَنْ هُوَ ٱلٱبْنُ إِلاَّ ٱلآب، وَلا مَنْ هُوَ ٱلآبُ إِلاَّ ٱلٱبْن، وَمَنْ يُريدُ ٱلٱبْنُ أَنْ يُظْهِرَهُ لَهُ». ثُمَّ ٱلتَفَتَ إِلى تَلامِيذِهِ، وقَالَ لَهُم عَلى ٱنْفِرَاد: طُوبَى لِلْعُيونِ الَّتِي تَنْظُرُ مَا أَنْتُم تَنْظُرُون! فَإِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّ أَنْبِياءَ وَمُلُوكًا كَثِيرِينَ أَرادُوا أَنْ يَرَوا مَا أَنْتُم تَنْظُرُون، فَلَمْ يَرَوا، وَأَنْ يَسْمَعُوا مَا تَسْمَعُون، فَلَمْ يَسْمَعُوا
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21:34-36.
Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.”
