\nSome Pharisees approached him, and tested him, saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?”
\nHe said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’
\nand said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
\nSo they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”
\nThey said to him, “Then why did Moses command that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss (her)?”
\nHe said to them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
\nI say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) and marries another commits adultery.”
\n(His) disciples said to him, “If that is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
\nHe answered, “Not all can accept (this) word, but only those to whom that is granted.
\nSome are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever can accept this ought to accept it.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nEl respondi\u00f3: “\u00bfNo han le\u00eddo ustedes que el Creador, desde el principio, los hizo var\u00f3n y mujer;
\ny que dijo: Por eso, el hombre dejar\u00e1 a su padre y a su madre para unirse a su mujer, y los dos no ser\u00e1n sino una sola carne?
\nDe manera que ya no son dos, sino una sola carne. Que el hombre no separe lo que Dios ha unido”.
\nLe replicaron: “Entonces, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 Mois\u00e9s prescribi\u00f3 entregar una declaraci\u00f3n de divorcio cuando uno se separa?”.
\nEl les dijo: “Mois\u00e9s les permiti\u00f3 divorciarse de su mujer, debido a la dureza del coraz\u00f3n de ustedes, pero al principio no era as\u00ed.
\nPor lo tanto, yo les digo: El que se divorcia de su mujer, a no ser en caso de uni\u00f3n ilegal, y se casa con otra, comete adulterio”.
\nLos disc\u00edpulos le dijeron: “Si esta es la situaci\u00f3n del hombre con respecto a su mujer, no conviene casarse”.
\nY \u00e9l les respondi\u00f3: “No todos entienden este lenguaje, sino s\u00f3lo aquellos a quienes se les ha concedido.
