{"id":24294,"date":"2013-09-22T12:41:44","date_gmt":"2013-09-22T10:41:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lebanesesaints.com\/Home\/?p=24294"},"modified":"2013-09-22T12:48:28","modified_gmt":"2013-09-22T10:48:28","slug":"my-interview-with-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lebanesesaints.com\/Home\/story\/my-interview-with-god\/","title":{"rendered":"My interview with GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebanesesaints.com\/Home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/pray2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24301\" alt=\"pray2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lebanesesaints.com\/Home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/pray2.jpg\" width=\"381\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lebanesesaints.com\/Home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/pray2.jpg 381w, https:\/\/www.lebanesesaints.com\/Home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/pray2-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lebanesesaints.com\/Home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/pray2-150x99.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 381px) 100vw, 381px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0I dreamed I had an Interview with GOD.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u201cSo, you would like to interview me?\u201d GOD asked.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIf you have time,\u201d I said.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>GOD smiled. \u201cMy time is eternity\u2026 what questions do you have in mind for me?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhat surprises you the most about humankind?\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>GOD answered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThat they get bored with childhood, that they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThat they lose their health to make money\u2026 and then lose their money to restore their health.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThat by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThat they live as if they would never die, and die as though they had never lived.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GOD\u2019s hand took mine\u2026 and we were silent for a while.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And then I asked, \u201cAs a parent, what are some of life\u2019s lessons you want your children to learn?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GOD replied, \u201cTo learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTo learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTo learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTo learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTo learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTo learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply do not yet know how to express or show their feelings.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTo learn that two people can look at the same thing, and see it differently.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTo learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThank you for your time,\u201d I said humbly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIs there anything else you would like your children to know?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GOD smiled, and said\u2026 \u201cJust know that I am here.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAlways.\u201da<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0I dreamed I had an Interview with GOD. \u201cSo, you would like to interview me?\u201d GOD asked. \u201cIf you have time,\u201d I said.
