As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: \u201cI don\u2019t believe that God exists.\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhy do you say that?\u201d asked the customer. \u201cWell, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn\u2019t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can\u2019t imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.\u201d The customer thought for a moment, but didn\u2019t respond because he didn\u2019t want to start an argument.. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: \u201cYou know what? Barbers do not exist.\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHow can you say that?\u201d asked the surprised barber. \u201cI am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cNo!\u201d the customer exclaimed. \u201cBarbers don\u2019t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAh, but barbers DO exist! That\u2019s what happens when people do not come to me.\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cExactly!\u201d affirmed the customer. \u201cThat\u2019s the point! God, too, DOES exist! That\u2019s what happens when people do not go to Him and don\u2019t look to Him for help.
