إنجيل القدّيس يوحنّا .11-1:8
مَضَى يَسُوعُ إِلى جَبَلِ الزَّيْتُون
وعِنْدَ الفَجْر، عَادَ إِلى الهَيْكَل. وكَانَ الشَّعْبُ كُلُّهُ يَأْتِي إِلَيْه، فَجَلَسَ يُعَلِّمُهُم
وأَتَاهُ الكَتَبَةُ والفَرِّيسِيُّونَ بِٱمْرَأَةٍ أُمْسِكَتْ وهِي تَزْنِي، وأَقَامُوهَا في الوَسَط
وقَالُوا لَهُ: يَا مُعَلِّم، هذِهِ المَرْأَةُ أُمْسِكَتْ فِي زِنًى مَشْهُود
وفِي التَّوْرَاة، أَوْصَانَا مُوسَى بِرَجْمِ أَمْثَالِهَا. وأَنْتَ، فَمَاذَا تَقُول؟
قَالُوا هذَا لِيُجَرِّبُوه، فَيَكُونَ لَهُم مَا يَشْكُونَهُ بِهِ. أَمَّا يَسُوعُ فَأَكَبَّ يَخُطُّ بِإِصْبَعِهِ على الأَرْض
ولَمَّا ٱسْتَمَرُّوا يَسْأَلُونَهُ، وَقَفَ وقَالَ لَهُم: مَنْ هُوَ فِيكُم بِلا خَطِيئَة، فَلْيَبْدَأْ ويَرْمِهَا بِحَجَر
ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ وعَادَ يَخُطُّ عَلى الأَرْض
ولَمَّا سَمِعُوا، بَدَأُوا يَخْرُجُونَ وَاحِدًا فَوَاحِدًا، وكِبَارُ السِّنِّ أَوَّلاً. وبَقِيَ يَسُوعُ وَحْدَهُ، والمَرْأَةُ قَائِمَةٌ في الوَسَط
فَوَقَفَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهَا: يَا ٱمْرَأَة، أَيْنَ هُم؟ أَمَا دَانَكِ أَحَد؟
قَالَتْ: «لا أَحَد، يَا سَيِّد». فَقَالَ لَهَا يَسُوع: ولا أَنَا أَدِينُكِ. إِذْهَبِي، ولا تَعُودِي تَخْطَإينَ بَعْدَ الآن
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 1:46-56.
Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness;
behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.
The Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart.
He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly.
The hungry he has filled with good things;
the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped Israel his servant,
remembering his mercy,
according to his promise to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”
Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home.
