إنجيل القدّيس متّى 27:9-35
وفيمَا يَسُوعُ مُجْتَازٌ مِنْ هُنَاك، تَبِعَهُ أَعْمَيَانِ يَصْرُخَانِ ويَقُولان: «إِرْحَمْنَا، يَا ٱبْنَ دَاوُد!».
ولَمَّا جَاءَ إِلى البَيْتِ تَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ الأَعْمَيَان. فَقَالَ لَهُمَا يَسُوع: «أَتُؤْمِنَانِ أَنِّي قَادِرٌ أَنْ أَفْعَلَ هذَا؟». قَالا لَهُ: «نَعَم، يَا رَبّ».
حينَئِذٍ لَمَسَ أَعْيُنَهُمَا قَائِلاً: «فَلْيَكُنْ لَكُمَا بِحَسَبِ إِيْمَانِكُمَا!».
فَٱنْفَتَحَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمَا. وٱنْتَهَرَهُمَا يَسُوعُ قَائِلاً: «أُنْظُرَا، لا تُخْبِرَا أَحَدًا».
ولكِنَّهُمَا خَرَجَا ونَشَرَا الخَبَرَ في تِلْكَ الأَنْحَاءِ كُلِّهَا.
ولَمَّا خَرَجَ الأَعْمَيَان، قَدَّمُوا إِلَيْهِ مَمْسُوسًا أَخْرَس.
وأُخْرِجَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَتَكَلَّمَ الأَخْرَس. وتَعَجَّبَ الجُمُوعُ فَقَالُوا: «لَمْ يُرَ شَيْءٌ مِثْلُ هذَا في إِسْرَائِيل».
أَمَّا الفَرِّيسِيُّونَ فَكَانُوا يَقُولُون: «إِنَّهُ بِرَئِيْسِ الشَّيَاطِيْنِ يُخْرِجُ الشَّيَاطِين».
وكَانَ يَسُوعُ يَطُوفُ المُدُنَ كُلَّهَا والقُرَى يُعَلِّمُ في مَجَامِعِهم، ويَكْرِزُ بِإِنْجِيلِ المَلَكُوت، ويَشْفِي الشَّعْبَ مِنْ كُلِّ مَرَضٍ وكُلِّ عِلَّة
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 12:28-34.
One of the scribes, when he came forward and heard them disputing and saw how well he had answered them, asked him, “Which is the first of all the commandments?”
Jesus replied, “The first is this: ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone!
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
The scribe said to him, “Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, ‘He is One and there is no other than he.’
And ‘to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
And when Jesus saw that (he) answered with understanding, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to ask him any more questions.
إنجيل القدّيس متّى 39-29:15
وٱنْتَقَلَ يَسُوعُ مِنْ هُنَاك، وأَتَى إِلى نَاحِيَةِ بَحْرِ الجَليل، وصَعِدَ إِلى الجَبَلِ فَجَلَسَ هُنَاك.
ودَنَا مِنْهُ جُمُوعٌ كَثِيْرَة، ومَعَهُم عُرْجٌ، وعُمْيَان، ومُقْعَدُون، وخُرْسٌ، ومَرْضَى كَثِيْرُون. وطَرَحُوهُم عِنْدَ قَدَمَي يَسُوعَ فَشَفَاهُم،
حَتَّى تَعَجَّبَ الجَمْعُ لَمَّا رَأَوا الخُرْسَ يَتَكَلَّمُون، والمُقْعَدِ²يْنَ يُشْفَوْن، والعُرْجَ يَمْشُون، والعُمْيَانَ يُبْصِرُون. فَمَجَّدُوا إِلهَ إِسْرَائِيل.
ودَعَا يَسُوعُ تَلامِيْذَهُ وقَال: «أَتَحَنَّنُ على هذَا الجَمْع، لأَنَّهُم يُلازِمُونَنِي مُنْذُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّام، ولَيْسَ لَهُم مَا يَأْكُلُون. ولا أُرِيْدُ أَنْ أَصْرِفَهُم صَائِمِينَ لِئَلاَّ تَخُورَ قُوَاهُم في الطَّريق».
فقَالَ لَهُ التَّلامِيذ: «مِنْ أَيْنَ لَنَا في البَرِّيَّةِ خُبْزٌ بِهذَا المِقْدَارِ حَتَّى يُشْبِعَ هذَا الجَمْعَ الغَفِيْر؟».
فَقَالَ لَهُم يَسُوع: «كَمْ رَغِيْفًا لَدَيْكُم؟». فَقَالُوا: «سَبْعَةُ أَرْغِفَة، وبَعْضُ سَمَكَاتٍ صِغَار».
وأَمَرَ يَسُوعُ الجَمْعَ أَنْ يَجْلِسُوا عَلى الأَرْض.
وأَخَذَ الأَرْغِفَةَ السَّبْعَةَ والسَّمَكَات، وشَكرَ وكَسَرَ وبَدَأَ يُنَاوِلُ التَّلامِيْذ، والتَّلامِيْذُ يُنَاوِلُونَ الجُمُوع.
فَأَكَلُوا جَمِيْعُهُم وشَبِعُوا، ورَفَعُوا مِنْ فَضَلاتِ الكِسَرِ سَبْعَةَ سِلالٍ مَمْلُوءَة.
وكَانَ الآكِلُونَ أَرْبَعَةَ آلافِ رَجُل، ما عَدَا النِّسَاءَ والأَطْفَال.
وبَعْدَ أَنْ صَرَفَ الجُمُوعَ ركِبَ السَّفِيْنَة، وجَاءَ إِلى نَوَاحِي مَجْدَلْ
إنجيل القدّيس لوقا 1:7-10
بَعْدَ أَنْ أَكْمَلَ يَسوعُ كَلامَهُ كُلَّهُ عَلى مَسَامِعِ الشَّعْب، دَخَلَ كَفَرنَاحُوم.
وكَانَ لِقائِدِ مِئَةٍ خَادِمٌ بِهِ سُوء، وقَدْ أَشْرَفَ عَلى المَوت، وكَانَ عَزيزًا عَلَيه.
وَسَمِعَ بِيَسوعَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيهِ بَعْضَ شَيُوخِ اليَهُود، يَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ ويُنقِذَ خَادِمَهُ.
فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلى يَسُوع، وأَلَحُّوا يَتَوسَّلُونَ إِلَيهِ قَائِلين: «إنَّهُ مُسْتَحِقٌّ أَنْ تَصْنَعَ لَهُ هذَا،
لأَنَّهُ يُحِبُّ أُمَّتنَا، وَقَد بَنَى لَنَا المَجْمَع».
فَمَضَى يَسُوعُ مَعَهُم. ومَا إنْ صَارَ غَيرَ بَعِيدٍ عَنِ البَيْت، حَتَّى أَرْسَلَ إِلَيهِ قَائِدُ المِئَةِ بَعْضَ أَصْدقَائِهِ، يَقولُ لَهُ: «يا رَبّ، لا تُزعِجْ نَفْسَكَ، لأَنِّي لَسْتُ أَهْلاً أَنْ تَدْخُلَ تَحْتَ سَقْفي.
لِذلِكَ لَمْ أَحسَبْ نَفْسي مُسْتَحِقًّا أَنْ آتِيَ إِلَيْك، لكِنْ قُلْ كَلِمَةً فَيُشْفَى فَتَاي.
فَإنِّي أَنا أَيْضًا رَجُلٌ خَاضِعٌ لِسُلْطان، وَلِي جُنُودٌ تَحْتَ إِمْرَتي، فَأَقولُ لِهذَا: ٱذْهَب! فَيَذْهَبْ، وَلآخَرَ: ٱئْتِ! فَيَأْتي، وَلِخَادِمِي: ٱفْعَلْ هذَا! فَيَفْعَل».
وَلَمَّا سَمِعَ يَسوعُ أُعْجِبَ بِه، وٱلتَفَتَ إِلى الجَمْعِ الَّذي يَتْبَعُهُ فَقاَل: «أَقولُ لَكُم: لَمْ أَجِدْ مِثْلَ هذَا الإِيْمَانِ حَتَّى في إِسْرائِيل».
وَعَاد المُرْسَلُونَ إِلى البَيْت، فَوَجَدُوا الخَادِمَ مُعَافَى
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5:17-19.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
إنجيل القدّيس مرقس 22:8-26
ووَصَلَ يَسُوعُ وتَلامِيذُهُ إِلى بَيْتَ صَيْدَا، فجَاؤُوا إِلَيْهِ بِأَعْمَى وتَوَسَّلُوا إِلَيْهِ أَنْ يَلْمُسَهُ.
فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ الأَعْمَى، وقَادَهُ إِلى خَارِجِ القَرْيَة، وتَفَلَ في عَيْنَيْه، ووَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَيْهِ وسأَلَهُ: «هَلْ تُبْصِرُ شَيئًا؟».
فرَفَعَ الأَعْمَى نَظَرَهُ وقَال: «أُبْصِرُ النَّاس، أَراهُم كأَشْجَارٍ وَهُم يَمْشُون!».
فوَضَعَ يَسُوعُ يَدَيْهِ ثَانِيَةً عَلَى عَيْنَي الأَعْمَى، فأَبْصَرَ جَلِيًّا، وعَادَ صَحِيحًا وصَارَ يُبْصِرُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ بِوُضُوح.
فأَرْسَلَهُ يَسُوعُ إِلى بَيْتِهِ قَائِلاً: لا تَدْخُلِ القَرْيَة
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 18:21-35.
Then Peter approaching asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?”
Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.
That is why the kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who decided to settle accounts with his servants.
When he began the accounting, a debtor was brought before him who owed him a huge amount.
Since he had no way of paying it back, his master ordered him to be sold, along with his wife, his children, and all his property, in payment of the debt.
At that, the servant fell down, did him homage, and said, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back in full.’
Moved with compassion the master of that servant let him go and forgave him the loan.
When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a much smaller amount. He seized him and started to choke him, demanding, ‘Pay back what you owe.’
Falling to his knees, his fellow servant begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’
But he refused. Instead, he had him put in prison until he paid back the debt.
Now when his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were deeply disturbed, and went to their master and reported the whole affair.
His master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you your entire debt because you begged me to.
Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?’
Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt.
So will my heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from his heart.
إنجيل القدّيس لوقا 37:9-45
وفي اليَوْمِ التَّالي، فيمَا هُم نَازِلُونَ مِنَ الجَبَل، لاقَاهُ جَمْعٌ كَثِير.
وإِذا رَجُلٌ مِنَ الجَمْعِ صَرَخَ قَائِلاً: «يا مُعَلِّم، أَرْجُوك، أُنْظُرْ إِلَى ٱبْنِي، لأَنَّهُ وَحيدٌ لي!
وهَا إِنَّ رُوحًا يُمْسِكُ بِهِ فَيَصْرُخُ بَغْتَةً، وَيَهُزُّهُ بِعُنْفٍ فَيُزْبِد، وَبِجَهْدٍ يُفارِقُهُ وهُوَ يُرضِّضُهُ.
وقَدْ رَجَوْتُ تَلامِيذَكَ أَنْ يُخْرِجُوهُ، فَلَمْ يَقْدِرُوا!».
فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وقَال: «أَيُّهَا الجِيلُ المُلْتَوِي غَيرُ المُؤْمِن، إِلى مَتَى أَكُونُ مَعَكُم وَأَحْتَمِلُكُم؟ قَدِّمِ ٱبْنَكَ إِلى هُنَا».
ومَا إِنِ ٱقْتَرَبَ الصَّبِيُّ حَتَّى صَرَعَهُ الشَّيْطَان، وَهَزَّهُ بِعُنْف. فَزَجَرَ يَسُوعُ الرُّوحَ النَّجِس، وأَبْرَأَ الصَّبِيّ، وَسَلَّمَهُ إِلى أَبِيه.
فَبُهِتَ الجَمِيعُ مِنْ عَظَمَةِ الله. وفِيمَا كَانُوا جَمِيعًا مُتَعَجِّبِينَ مِنَ كُلِّ مَا كَانَ يَعْمَلُهُ يَسُوع، قالَ لِتَلامِيذِهِ:
وَأَنْتُمُ ٱجْعَلُوا هذَا الكَلامَ في مَسَامِعِكُم: فَٱبْنُ الإِنْسَانِ سَوْفَ يُسْلَمُ إِلَى أَيْدِي النَّاس.
أَمَّا هُم فَمَا كَانُوا يَفْهَمُونَ هذَا الكَلام، وَقَد أُخْفِيَ عَلَيْهِم لِكَي لا يُدْرِكُوا مَعْنَاه، وَكَانُوا يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَسْأَلُوهُ عَنْهُ
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 4:24-30.
And he said, “Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place.
Indeed, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah when the sky was closed for three and a half years and a severe famine spread over the entire land.
It was to none of these that Elijah was sent, but only to a widow in Zarephath in the land of Sidon.
Again, there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.”
When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury.
They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong.
But he passed through the midst of them and went away.
وقال يسوع: كان لِرجُلٍ ابنان.
فقال أصغرهما لأبيه: يا ابي، أعطني حِصّتي من الميراث. فقسَمَ لهما ثروتهُ.
وبعد أيّام قليلة، جمعَ الابنُ الأصغر كلّ حِصّتهِ، وسافرَ إلى بلدٍ بعيد. وهناكَ بدَّد مالهُ في حياة الطّيش.
ولمّا أنفقَ كلّ شيء، حدثَتْ في ذلك البلد مجاعةٌ شديدة، فبدأ يُحسُّ بالعَوَز.
فذهبَ ولجأ إلى واحدٍ من أهل ذلك البلَد، فأرسلُه إلى حقولهِ ليرعى الخنازير.
وكان يشتهي أن يملأ جوفَهُ من الخرّوب الذّي كانت الخنازير تأكلهُ، ولا يُعطيهِ منه أحد.
فرجعَ إلى نفسه وقال: كم من الأُجراء عند أبي، يفضُلُ الخُبزُ عنهم، وأنا هَهُنا أهلِكُ جوعًا!
أقومُ وأمضي إلى أبي أوقول له: يا أبي، خطئتُ إلى السّماء وأمامَك.
ولا أستحقُّ بعدُ أن أُدعى لكَ ابنًا. فاجعلني كأحد أُجرائكَ!
فقام وجاء إلى أبيه. وفيما كان لا يزال بعيدًا، ورآهُ ابوهُ، فتحنَّنَ عليه، وأسرعَ فألقى بنفسهِ على عُنقِهِ وقبَّلهُ طويلاً.
فقال له ابنهُ: يا أبي، خطئتُ إلى السّماء وأمامك. ولا أستحقُّ بعدُ أن أُدعى لكَ ابنًا…
فقال الأب لعبيده: أسرعوا وأخرجوا الحُلّة الفاخرة وألبسوه، واجعلوا في يده خاتمًا، وفي رجليه حِذاء،
وأْتُوا بالعجلِ المُسمَّن واذبحوه، ولنأكُل ونتنّعم!
لأنّ ابني هذا كان ميتًا فعاش، وضائعًا فوجِد. وبدأوا يتنعّمون.
وكان ابنهُ الأكبر في الحقل. فلمّا جاء واقترب من البيت، سمع غِناءً ورقْصًا.
فدعا واحدًا من الغِلْمان وسألهُ: ما عَسَى أن يكون هذا؟
فقال لهُ: جاء أخوكَ، فذبحَ أبوكَ العجلَ المُسمَّن، لأنّهُ لَقيَهُ سالمًا.
فغضِبَ ولم يُرِدْ أن يدخُل. فخرجَ أبوه يتوسَّل إليه.
فأجاب وقال لأبيه: ها أنا أخدُمُكَ كلّ هذه السّنين، ولم أخالِف لكَ يومًا أمرًا، ولم تُعطِني مرّةً جديًا، لأتنعَّم مع أصدقائي.
ولكن لمّا جاء ابنُكَ هذا الذّي أكل ثروتَكَ مع الزّواني، ذبحتَ له العجلَ المُسمَّن!
فقال لهُ أبوه: يا وَلَدي، أنتَ معي في كلّ حين، وكلّ ما هو لي هوَ لكَ.
ولكن كان ينبغي أن نتنعَّم ونفرح، لأنَّ أخاكَ هذا كان ميتًا فعاش، وضائعًا فوجِد
يأتي هذا المثل بعد مثلين، الأوّل مثل الخروف الضال، والمثل الثاني عن الدرهم الضال، ومغزاهما محبّة الله لخلاص الضال والخاطيء.وهذا المثل يشرح بدرجة اولى محبّة الآب، الذي خسر ابنين بِبُعدِهما عنه.
فالإبن الأصغر، يمثّل الشعوب الوثنية، التي راحت تجد راحتها وملذاتها خارج الله، وعندها عرفت ضلالها. ولكن ضياع الإبن الأصغر كان كبيراً جداً، إذ عند توبته اراد الرجوع كخادم، لكن اباه اعاده الى مرتبة البنين، فهو لم يكن حتى بعد توبته قادراً على معرفة وسع محبّة الآب له.
والإبن الأكبر، يمثّل اليهود، والآن نحن المسيحيين، الذين نعتبر أن كل شيء لنا، ونمنَعه عن غيرنا، فلا نَتقبّل غيرنا، ولا نساعده على معرفة الله، لكن الويل أن أصبح الإبن الأصغر داخلاً، والإبن الأكبر خارجاً، فالقرب بالجسد او بالإسم لا يعني شيئاً، حين يكون قلبنا خارجاً، فإمّا نحن مع المسيح او ضده. خاصة نحن المسيحيين وقد عرفنا المسيح وتسمَينا بإسمه، فسقطتنا ستكون أكبر من الإثنين، لأنّ ميراثنا اكبر.
فماذا يعلّمنا الإبن الأصغر؟ اوّلاً، يعلمنا أن الحريّة ليست بمطلقة، إنما الحرّية لديها حدود في الفكر والتصرّف، فالحريّة المطلقة تصبح هدّامة. ثانياً، الأنانيّة والتكبّر، فقد إعتبر نفسه المسؤول الوحيد عن حياته، فرفض الطاعة لأبيه معتبراً نفسه ناضجاً كفاية ويستطيع أخذ القرارات بمفرده. ثالثاً، البعد عن الله، لكن الله حاضر في كل مكان، وهذا ما كان يقوله المكرّم الأخ اسطفان “الله يراني” عند كل عمل يعمله. إذاً، فالله حاضر، امّا نحن من يضع الحواجز كي لا نراه، ولهاذا ارتبك آدم عندما سمع صوت الله بعد الخطيئة. امّا الذي يريد أن يعيش حياته مع الله، فهو قادر أن يراه ويشعر به ويذكره كلّ آن. فلنصنع إذاً مشيئته في حياتنا، معتبرين مرجعنا الله، وبيتنا هو الكنيسة، وحياتنا هي استمرارية القدّاس، كي نتقدّس، وإلاَّ الفراغ. فنحن نعيش في فراغٍ كبير، فراغٍ من الصدق، فراغٍ من المحبة، فراغٍ من الخدمة والمساعدة، فراغٍ من الأعمال الصالحة، فراغٍ من الخلاص… لأنه “ليس بالخبز وحده يحيا الإنسان، بل بكل كلمة تخرج من فم الله” (لو 4/ 4). وهنا تأتي الصدمة مع المجاعة والإفلاس، خاصة أنه اصبح يعمل في رعاية الخنازير التي تمثّل اوسخ الحيوانات وأنجسها ففيها قد هرب الشياطين ونزلوا الى البحر مركز الشيطان حسب التقليد اليهودي. إذاً هو يشتهي أن يملأ بطنه من الخرنوب التي تأكله تلك الخنازير، وهو في عالم الظلام، أمّا في عالم النور والحياة فأُجراء ابيه يشبعون من طعام مائدة ابيه. فعندها رجع الى نفسه، كما رجع يهوذا الى نفسه، من دون أن يعود الى المسيح، فعرف خطأه ولكنه لم يعرف ماذا يفعل، فشنق نفسه، وهاذا الإبن فعل بالمثل وقرر نكران البنوّة وتبني حالة الخدم وهاذا ايضاً ضلال. ولكن المهم التوبة، والإعتراف بالخطأ، ثم القيامة : “اقوم وأمضي الى أبي”. وهنا محبّة الأب، فكان ينتظره وقد رآه من بعيد، هاذا هو رمز حب الله لنا، واكثر فقد البسه ثوب البنوّة، ثوب المجد بدل ثوب الهوان.
لكن العجب بعد كل هذا الفرح بعودة الإبن الأصغر، حسد الإبن الأكبر، الذي كان مقيّداً بسلاسل الشريعة دون أن يدخل لا في منطق المحبة والغفران ولا في منطق حريّة ابناء الله، لهاذا بقي على هامش محبّة ابيه، فقد كان بالجسد قريب، لكن قلبه كان بعيداً جدّاً

إنجيل القدّيس متّى 1:12-14
في ذلِكَ الوَقْتِ ٱجْتَازَ يَسُوعُ يَوْمَ السَّبتِ بَيْنَ الزُّرُوع. وجَاعَ تَلامِيذُهُ فَأَخَذُوا يَقْلَعُونَ سَنَابِلَ ويَأْكُلُون.
ورآهُمُ الفَرِّيسِيُّونَ فَقَالُوا لِيَسُوع: «هُوَذَا تَلامِيذُكَ يَفْعَلُونَ مَا لا يَحِلُّ فِعْلُهُ يَوْمَ السَّبْت».
فقَالَ لَهُم: «أَمَا قَرَأْتُم مَا فَعَلَهُ دَاوُدُ حِيْنَ جَاعَ هُوَ والَّذِينَ مَعَهُ؟
كَيْفَ دَخَلَ بَيْتَ الله، وأَكَلُوا خُبْزَ التَّقْدِمَةِ الَّذي لا يَحِلُّ لَهُ أَكْلُهُ، ولا لِلَّذِينَ مَعَهُ، بَلْ لِلْكَهَنَةِ وَحْدَهُم؟
أَوَ مَا قَرَأْتُم في التَّورَاةِ أَنَّ الكَهَنَة، أَيَّامَ السَّبْت، يَنْتَهِكُونَ في الهَيْكَلِ حُرْمَةَ السَّبْت، ولا ذَنْبَ عَلَيْهِم؟
وأَقُولُ لَكُم: ههُنا أَعْظَمُ مِنَ الهَيْكَل!
ولَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ مَا مَعْنَى: أُريدُ رَحْمَةً لا ذَبيحَة، لَمَا حَكَمْتُم على مَنْ لا ذنْبَ عَلَيْهِم!
فَرَبُّ السَّبْتِ هُوَ ٱبْنُ الإِنْسَان!».
وٱنْتَقَلَ يَسُوعُ مِنْ هُنَاك، وجَاءَ إِلى مَجْمَعِهِم.
وإِذَا بِرَجُلٍ يَدُهُ يَابِسَة، فَسَأَلُوهُ قَائِلين: «هَلْ يَحِلُّ الشِّفَاءُ يَوْمَ السَّبْت؟». وكَانَ مُرَادُهُم أَنْ يَشْكُوه.
فقَالَ لَهُم: «أَيُّ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُم يَكُونُ لَهُ خَرُوفٌ وَاحِد، فَإِنْ سَقَطَ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ في حُفْرَة، أَلا يُمْسِكُهُ ويُقِيمُهُ؟
وكَمِ الإِنْسَانُ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ خَرُوف؟ فَعَمَلُ الخَيْرِ إِذًا يَحِلُّ يَوْمَ السَّبْت».
حِينَئِذٍ قَالَ لِلرَّجُل: «مُدَّ يَدَكَ». ومَدَّهَا فَعَادَتْ صَحِيحَةً كاليَدِ الأُخْرَى.
وخَرَجَ الفَرِّيسِيُّونَ فَتَشَاوَرُوا عَلَيْهِ لِيُهْلِكُوه
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 15:1-3.11-32.
The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to him,
but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
So to them he addressed this parable.
Then he said, “A man had two sons,
and the younger son said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of your estate that should come to me.’ So the father divided the property between them.
After a few days, the younger son collected all his belongings and set off to a distant country where he squandered his inheritance on a life of dissipation.
When he had freely spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he found himself in dire need.
So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens who sent him to his farm to tend the swine.
And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed, but nobody gave him any.
Coming to his senses he thought, ‘How many of my father’s hired workers have more than enough food to eat, but here am I, dying from hunger.
I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
I no longer deserve to be called your son; treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers.”‘
So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.
His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’
But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast,
because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.’ Then the celebration began.
Now the older son had been out in the field and, on his way back, as he neared the house, he heard the sound of music and dancing.
He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean.
The servant said to him, ‘Your brother has returned and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
He became angry, and when he refused to enter the house, his father came out and pleaded with him.
He said to his father in reply, ‘Look, all these years I served you and not once did I disobey your orders; yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends.
But when your son returns who swallowed up your property with prostitutes, for him you slaughter the fattened calf.’
He said to him, ‘My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours.
But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’”

وَقَالَ لَهُم هذَا المَثَل: رَجُلٌ غَنِيٌّ أَغَلَّتْ لهُ أَرْضُهُ.
فَرَاحَ يُفَكِّرُ في نَفْسِهِ قَائِلاً: مَاذَا أَفْعَل، وَلَيْسَ لَدَيَّ مَا أَخْزُنُ فِيهِ غَلاَّتِي؟
ثُمَّ قَال: سَأَفْعَلُ هذَا: أَهْدِمُ أَهْرَائِي، وَأَبْنِي أَكْبَرَ مِنْها، وَأَخْزُنُ فِيهَا كُلَّ حِنْطَتِي وَخَيْراتِي،
وَأَقُولُ لِنَفْسِي: يا نَفْسِي، لَكِ خَيْرَاتٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مُدَّخَرَةٌ لِسِنينَ كَثِيرَة، فٱسْتَريِحي، وَكُلِي، وٱشْرَبِي، وَتَنَعَّمِي!
فَقَالَ لَهُ الله: يا جَاهِل، في هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ تُطْلَبُ مِنْكَ نَفْسُكَ. وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَهُ لِمَنْ يَكُون؟
هكذَا هِيَ حَالُ مَنْ يَدَّخِرُ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَلا يَغْتَنِي لله
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 21:33-43.45-46.
Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey.
When vintage time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain his produce.
But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat, another they killed, and a third they stoned.
Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones, but they treated them in the same way.
Finally, he sent his son to them, thinking, ‘They will respect my son.’
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.’
They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes?”
They answered him, “He will put those wretched men to a wretched death and lease his vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the proper times.”
Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’?
Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew that he was speaking about them.
And although they were attempting to arrest him, they feared the crowds, for they regarded him as a prophet.
